But organizing visitors such as those crush-stealing Amazons isnt easy! Artemis is trying to do it all herself, Athena's in trouble over a winged horse named Pegasus, and Aphrodite and Persephone are fighting over a lost kitten named Adonis. The Sea of Monsters movie

Fox has finally announced the Percy Jackson and the Olympians: the Sea of Monsters release date. The sequel to "Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief' will be releasing March 26, 2013, which will be the Wednesday before Easter Sunday. It is said that the same cast will returnand start filming as soon as this summer. Fox said that if this movie makes good money, there defiantky will be more! No further details have been released, but it's quite a shock (especially to me). We all have guessed that the Sea of Monsters would be released in early-to-mid 2012, but why is it now being held off until 2013? Hm...this is
beginning to become like a great thing to discuss! Make sure to leave a comment telling us what you think!

Heroes of Olympus: Demigod Diaries

Summary: What dangers do runaway demigods Luke and Thalia face on their way to Camp Half-Blood? Are Percy and Annabeth up to the task of rescuing stolen goods from a fire-breathing giant who doesn't take kindly to intruders? How exactly are Leo, Piper, and Jason supposed to find a runaway table, dodge a band of party-loving Maenads (who just might be a little psychotic), and stave off a massive explosion...all in one hour or less?

With his trademark wit and creativity, Rick Riordan answers these questions and more in three never-before-seen short stories that provide vital back-story to the Heroes of Olympus and Percy Jackson books. Original art, enlightening character interviews and illustrated profiles, puzzles, and a quiz add to the fun in this action-packed collection that is sure to delight legions of loyal fans.

Kane Chronicles Book 3

Title: The Serpent's Shadow

Summary: He's b-a-a-ack! Despite their best efforts, Carter and Sade Kane can't seem to keep Apophis, the chaos snake, down. Now Apophis is threatening to plunge the world into eternal darkness, and the Kanes are faced with the impossible task of having to destroy him once and for all. Unfortunately, the magicians of the House of Life are on the brink of civil war, the gods are divided, and the young initiates of Brooklyn House stand almost alone against the forces of chaos. The Kanes' only hope is an ancient spell that might turn the serpent's own shadow into a weapon, but the magic has been lost for a millennia. To find the answer they need, the Kanes must rely on the murderous ghost of a powerful magician who might be able to lead them to the serpent's shadow . . . or might lead them to their deaths in the depths of the underworld.

Nothing less than the mortal world is at stake when the Kane family fulfills its destiny in this thrilling conclusion to the Kane Chronicles.

According to Rick's blog:

Oh my Gods! A modern retelling of Greek and Roman Myths

Summary: The Greek and Roman myths have never died out; in fact they are as relevant today as ever. For thousands of years these myths have inspired plays, operas, paintings, movies, and television programs. They are fascinating tales that tell us about ourselves—about our hopes, fears, and desires, which are as ancient as mankind. Many of these myths are deeply disturbing; others are sublimely beautiful. All of them move us still, as they did the Greeks and Romans hundreds of generations ago.
Oh My Gods is a retelling of some of the most popular myths by a gifted scholar and writer. These tales of errant gods, fantastic creatures, and human heroes are brought to life in fresh and contemporary versions.

Have there ever been stories to rival the myths about the creation of the universe and the wars among the earliest gods? Or about the Olympian gods themselves: powerful Zeus, king of the gods, possessed of a wandering eye; his wife, Hera, queen of marriage and childbirth, perpetually outraged by her husband’s many affairs; Poseidon, god of the sea, brother of Zeus; their other brother, Hades, god of the underworld; and all the other gods and goddesses—talented Apollo, beautiful Aphrodite, fierce Athena, swift Hermes, and many more. And the dauntless heroes Theseus and Hercules, the doomed lovers Hero and Leander or Orpheus and Eurydice, whose stories can still break our hearts. From the astonishing tales of the Argonauts to the immortal narrative of the Battle of Troy, these ancient myths have inspired writers from Shakespeare to J. K. Rowling.

Philip Freeman’s vibrant, contemporary retelling makes us appreciate again why these wonderful tales have lasted thousands of years and charmed young and old readers alike.

Goddess Girls book 8

Book #8  coming out 4/3/12

Medusa The Mean

Medusa wants to be more like her two sisters and the other kids at Mount Olympus Academy -- immortal. Is that too much to ask? As one of the few mortals at MOA, it's hard not to get jealous when you're surrounded by beautiful, powerful goddessgirl and godboy classmates. And it isn't easy making friends either, especially when you have snakes for hair and one mean reputation!

When Medusa discovers an ad in her Teen Scrollizine for the IMMORTALIZER, a necklace that promises immortality, this looks like it could be her best shot at the two things she covets most: 1) to be as popular as the four most popular goddessgirls--Athena, Aphrodite, Persephone, and Artemis; and 2) to have her supercrush, Poseidon, finally notice her. But when the necklace brings about popularity in the totally wrong way, things go from bad to worse and Medusa fears that she'll never get the things she wants so much.

Can this "meanie" turn it all around and prove that there's more to her that meets the eye?

Goddess Girls book 7

*****WE ARE APPROACHING THE RELASE DATE******

Artemis the Loyal  out 12/6/11

Summary:  It's time for the annual Olympic Games, and the four goddessgirls are not happy--especially Artemis. Even though she's better at sports than most of the godboys, she can't compete because rules say the Games are boys-only. No fair!

Led by Artemis, Athena, Persphone and Aphrodite, the ladies of Mount Olympus hatch a plan to get Zeus to open up the games to everyone. Will they succeed--or end up watching from the sidelines again?

These classic myths from the Greek pantheon are given a modern twist that contemporary tweens can relate to, from dealing with bullies like Medusa to a first crush on an unlikely boy. Goddess Girls follows four goddesses-in-training - Athena, Persephone, Aphrodite, and Artemis - as they navigate the ins and outs of divine social life at Mount Olympus Academy, where the most priviledged gods and goddesses of the Greek pantheon hone their mythical skills.

Myth-O-Mania

The next book in the series will be called Hit The Road, Helen and will be about the Trojan War. It will be written by the author after the first of 2012 and should be out a year of so after that.
